48th Senate Race: Out of Town Money

An examination of financial records from the GOP primary between Chip Brightbill and Mike Folmer reveals some interesting information. Lots of money from outside the district fueled this heated battle. Why are extremists like Pat Toomey and Richard Mellon Scaife pouring over $130,000 into Folmer's "Citizen Campaign?"

So much for being an average guy, your friendly neighborhood tire salesman, running to end corruption. I don't think the good people in the 48th will be pleased to discover they are being manipulated by out of town money on this scale.

Citizen Mike is anything but. He's the pawn of these extremists.
