Freedom under Assault!

I just saw that the house vote on GOP proposal to affirm the administration's Iraqi policy may be coming to a vote soon.

Embedded in the story is this quote from House Speaker Hastert:

"When our freedom is challenged, Americans do not run."

Apparently the Speaker is not aware that Iraq is in shambles, with no workable military or even a working government. Oh yeah...and don't forget the President said "it's hot over there. People should have electric so they can cool their homes".

Exactly, how is our freedom being challenged Mr. Speaker?

Overreact, overreact, overreact...the mantra of the GOP.

And I don't even want to hear the that Democrats don't support the troops for voting against this confidence vote. Seems to me that wanting to bring the troops home is the most passionate way that one shows support for our troops. Voting to leave them in a war zone one minute longer than is necessary, shows that you don't care about them or their families.
