Santorums Continue to Screw Penn Hills Taxpayers
The Times Leader is again reminding Pennsylvania voters about Senator Rick Santorum's (R-VA) rip off of Penn Hills taxpayers. It is reporting that the issue whether the Santorum's should reimburse the school district for their children's education expenses has yet to be resolved. This furor was created by the Senator because he and his family actually live full time in Leesburg, Virginia but were making the taxpayers of Penn Hills pay for their children's education.
This, primarily, is an issue about ethics. Though the Senator and his wife Karen own a small home in Penn Hills, they were renting it to others and living in Virginia. They even filed a lawsuit in Virginia based on that being their domicile. Insisting first, that public schools in Leesburg weren't good enough for their six children and, second, that the taxpayers in Penn Hills should pay for their cyber school education, illustrate why Rick Santorum isn't qualified to represent us in the United States Senate.
He has lost touch with working people. He tried to screw the taxpayers in Penn Hills. He continues to not re-imburse those he screwed. He's screwing his constituents by spending way too much time living elsewhere. Joe Biden takes a train every day from Wilmington to Washington. Pennsylvania isn't much further from Washington than Wilmington. In fact, having grown up in Chester County, I can attest it's possible to live in Pennsylvania full time and ride that same train with Biden every day when it leaves Wilmington. Santorum lives in Virginia by choice. He chose to abandon his state unnecessarily so he and his family could live in comfortable Leesburg.
Then he decided to screw the people of Penn Hills. Folks, your turn for payback comes on November 7th.
