America Votes Day of Action
It’s time to take back the country

Gas Prices are over $3.00 a gallon. Healthcare costs have gone up over 70% in the past 6 years. Our economy rewards those who ship American jobs to overseas markets with low workplace standards. And, to top it off, instead of addressing these serious issues in our country, our Congress has been busy seriously debating a Constitutional Amendment to discriminate against our own citizens by banning gay marriage.
This has to change. And this Saturday, through the efforts of America Votes, we can make that change happen. We are banding together with activists in the Philadelphia area to go door to door and talk about the real issues that are impacting their daily lives. We can reclaim the debate and score an impressive victory for the progressive cause in Pennsylvania. But we need to talk to the people of Pennsylvania, one by one, person to person.
Right now more than 1 million Progressives won't participate in 2006 unless we begin talking to them now. That's why progressives from the Philadelphia area are getting together this Saturday, June 24 to go door to door and talk to the people about the important issues and urge them take action now to hold the Bush administration and Congress accountable.
Imagine what we can do if we harness the power of progressives and take on the problems that truly concern people to create the change we need.
Instead of just imagining, let's make it a reality. Join us this Saturday morning and help change the debate. To sign up, click here now or email me at jlouro@americavotes.org.
Together we can make change happen.
