Rendell Continues to Swamp Swann in Fundraising

Governor Ed Rendell reported raising $2.5 million in the most recent reporting period for campaign fundraising. His opponent Republican Lynn Swann raised half that, $ 1.2 million. Total funds raised by both candidates thus far have Rendell raising $19.7 million and Swann $4.5 million.

Lynn Swann, of course, has charged that members of the Rendell Administration have been pressuring potential contributors with th eloss of state contracts if they fund the Republican's campaign. Swann made this accusation in an interview with the Associated Press but has yet to substantiate any of it with documentation or evidence.

Lynn Swann, it's time to put up or shut up. Either provide the evidence or make a public apology.
