Dent , DeLay and Dirt

There's dirt in the Lehigh Valley. Dirt as in dirty Republican politics. Charlie Dirt, er, I mean Dent, Congressman in the 15th CD has accepted dirty money from the likes of Tom DeLay, Bob Ney, and Randy "Duke" Cunningham. Former Congressman Tom DeLay, indicted in Texas for money laundering, gave Dent $10,000 through his PAC. Ney, an Ohio Congressman under investigation in the Abramoff scandals, has provided $5,000. Duke Cunningham, in prison after admitting taking $2.5 million in bribes while a California Congressman, gave $1,000 in dirty money through his PAC.

Yes, the Lehigh Valley is awash in dirty money. The people in the 15th Congressional District have a Congressman in Charlie Dirt who voted with DeLay 91% of the time in return for all that loot. Dirt even voted to weaken House ethics rules for DeLay.

Charles Dertinger, on the other hand, will clean up this mess and bring a new voice to Washington.
