Lamont Heckled by Lieberman Lobbyist
Since this story has become a blogswarm I may as well join in the fun. The Connecticut primary is next Tuesday and polls show Joe Loserman trailing. Badly. Double digits badly. Trying to make up ground desperately (doesn't that remind you of Santorum?) Lieberman supporters actually organized something yesterday. They ambushed Ned Lamont, the next Senator from Connecticut, at a campaign stop at a diner called Ted's.
The problem was the head heckler was K Street medical industry lobbyist Richard Goodstein. Oops. He was caught in a picture on the cover of a local newspaper and identified by bloggers. MyDD is all over the story. TPM Cafe has Goodstein's confession. It's good to see the mainstream blogosphere finally jump all over something that isn't about trying to protect their compromised integrity.
Ned Lamont is a great candidate and he still needs help via volunteers and/or money. As I said, the primary election is this Tuesday. We have a golden opportunity to replace a DLC Democrat with a true progressive.
