Missing VA Computer: Deja Vu
Didn't we just go through all this? A Veterans Administration computer containing personal data on 38,000 Pennsylvanians is missing. This time it's a desktop and it went missing from a subcontractor: Unisys Corporation. Ok, I can understand how a laptop can be stolen rather easily if one is careless enough not to purchase a $20 cable lock, but a desktop? Maybe someone at the VA can explain how, after the first debacle, they didn't do more to further secure this data and these computers?
