Republicans are Running From Bush

The Washington Post has an article this morning about Republicans in key races attempting to separate themselves from President Bush. Heck, I'm surprised they're still calling themselves Republicans. The voter anger toward the GOP is such this year calling yourself one is a recipe for disaster. Jim Gerlach and the others cannot run from their voting records however. He voted for and supported the war, Medicare Part Disaster, Social Security privatization, the budget deficits, uncontrolled pork barrell spending.

Gerlach has been a lapdog for George Bush. He can run from his record but he can't hide.

Voters are getting angrier and angrier about those responsible for this war. Jim Gerlach is one of them. He can rail as much as he wants against the angry voters but I have news: it isn't only the "angry left." It's everyone. With Bush's approval rating at 33% in Pennsylvania Mr. Gerlach needs to begin thinking about retirement options. Dennis Leh and Chip Brightbill are looking for golf partners Jim.
