Santorum Now Officially "Slick Rick"

The League of Conservation Voters has named Senator Rick Santorum to its 2006 Dirty Dozen list according to a press release posted on PoliticsPA.com. His 10% rating on environmental issues earns him this distinction. This is ironic since the Senator, who lives in Virginia, is attempting an extreme makeover to try and appear as environmentally friendly for his re-election.

"Senator Santorum's score of 10% on LCV's 2005 scorecard shows just how
little he cares about the environment. He has consistently sided with oil
and other special interests over the health and safety needs of his
constituents. While his constituents suffer at the pumps, Senator Santorum
failed to find real answers to our energy crisis," said Monica Scherer, LCV
Pennsylvania Campaign Coordinator.
