Mackey to Reject Perks

Bill Mackey, running against Dave Argall in the 124th State House district has pledged he will not accept all the perks provided to legislators in Harrisburg. he said:

I will NOT accept a vehicle.

I will NOT collect per diems.

I will NOT accept any additional compensation for appointment to committees.

I will NOT participate in the lucrative pension plan that my opponent Argall
and other incumbents increased by 50% in 2001.

"We all need to speak up and do what is right for the people of
Pennsylvania. We all know what is right and the time to do right is now. To
do anything less is cowardice and no one should remain silent while our
citizens are being victimized by unprincipled leaders who routinely violate
their oath of office to our Constitution,"

How many more candidates and incumbents are willing to make this pledge?
