PA-04 Altmire Assembles Winning Fundraising Team

ALTMIRE ASSEMBLES NATIONALLY PROMINENT FUNDRAISING TEAM

(Freedom, PA) Democratic congressional candidate Jason Altmire (PA-4) todayannounced his new campaign fundraising team, which he says will be unmatchedby any congressional challenger in the country.

Sharon Werner will be the campaign's Finance Director, based in Altmire'swestern Pennsylvania campaign office. Werner, a graduate of Stanford LawSchool, will take a five-month leave of absence from her job as an associateat the New York City law firm Debevoise & Plimpton to join the campaign.She previously worked as the western Pennsylvania Finance Director for the2004 Democratic Coordinated Campaign. Werner has also served as a law clerkfor a federal district court judge and worked at the C-SPAN cable network.

Bob Doyle will be serving as National Consultant and PAC Fundraiser for thecampaign. Doyle's Maryland-based firm, Sutter's Mill, specializes inelecting Democratic challengers in Democratic-leaning districts that, likePennsylvania's 4th District, are currently held by Republican incumbents.Over the past ten years, Doyle has posted an impressive 41-13 record ingeneral elections and 20-7 in targeted races. During that time, Sutter'sMill has helped elect 18 new Democrats to Congress-most of any Democraticnational fundraising firm in the nation.
Bob Doyle has twice been honored by the Capitol Hill newspaper Roll Call asone of the best consultants in the nation. Roll Call stated that Sutter'sMill was "winning seats Democrats shouldn't" and listed Doyle as one oftheir top 10 national consultants from each party. Roll Call said that "allDoyle does is help win tough races."
