How clueless can you get? From Dan Froomkin:

George, it may have something to do with the fact you invaded and occupied their country. And you lied about why you were doing it. It may be related to the fact life in Baghdad was better under Saddam than with your puppets. It may be because they're getting blown up and assassinated daily in their streets.

Maybe, just maybe, it's because you've made them hate us.
