Losing Our Soul in Iraq
During his press conference this morning our Unitary Executive said:
Firt off Bush is finally acknowledging that the government he put in place there isn't in control. That's significant since he keeps proclaiming we've made huge progress because a government is in place. A lot of good it is if it isn't in control of anything George.
As for "losing our soul" I wasn't aware we still had one. Didn't W sell that for a few barrels of oil? I thought we sold our soul when we lied about why we went to war, when we adopted torture as national policy, when we decided the Geneva Conventions were quaint. I thought we lost our soul when Bush decided to violate our rights with his unconstitutional spying programs.
How can we lose our soul when he already sold it to the devil?
"...the United States would lose "our soul as a nation" if it gave up on the Iraq war now, warning it would be a "disaster" if U.S. troops left before the new Iraqi government can control the country."
