Patriot News on Gun Safety Laws

This column in the Harrisburg Patriot News reinforces what we've been saying about gun safety laws. Our streets are becoming the new incarnation of the wild, wild west. Too many people have too much access to handguns and they're unafraid to use them. Everyone is packing and if you don't like the way someone looks at you, pow. Instead of cracking down on the problem some conservatives want to make things worse. Florida now allows anyone to kill another person if they feel threatened. It essentially legalizes murder. Don't like that aggravating neighbor or that Black guy who just moved onto your block? All you need to do is say they threatened you and, bingo, you were justified in killing them. The rule of law is being supplanted by the law of the jungle.

There's even an effort to legalize this state sanctioned street violence in Pennsylvania. We'll have more about that news soon.
