Baghdad Sign Painter
I heard this story on WHYY (NPR) the other day. It's about a sign painter in Baghdad whose chief source of business now is funeral banners. He's also busy making new signs for businesses desperate to remove their old signs. The old signs identify them as either Sunni or Shia, therefore targets for the other side in the civil war.
It's one of those "driveway moment" NPR stories you shouldn't miss.
