Romanelli's Petitions

Doesn't the Democratic State Committee have enough things to spend money on this year without using their funds to give Carl Romanelli name recognition? I think the decision to challenge the Green Party Senatorial candidate's petitions is stupid. No one knows who Carl Romanelli is and the chance he'll have any money to tell them is nil. I doubt those Republican contributors who saw their names plastered all over the internet this week will be anxious to write more checks.

Romanelli, first of all, isn't going to take votes from Bob Casey. The fervent pro-choice voters who will cast their ballots for him would never have voted for the Democrat. They were/are sitting out this Senate race as they did in 2000. No one else will have a clue who the man is. Unless, of course, T.J. Rooney continues to provide him with huge amounts of free publicity by challenging his petitions. How can we criticize Republicans for helping this Green when we're doing the same with this effort?
