Senate Campaign Devolves Into Name Calling

The two major candidates for U.S. Senate seem to be in a battle over name calling. Has this race devolved into an elementary school playground? Tricky Ricky Santorum is being criticized for referring to his Democratic challenger as Bobby Casey Jr. This has obviously gotten under the State Treasurer's skin as his campaign continues to object to the characterization.

Far be it for me to engage in such childish behavior. I think it's wholly undignified to attempt to influence voters this way. I insisted on spelling out the word "Junior" every time we used Bobby's name on Chuck's campaign. I never sunk to the level of using the abbreviation. It's time we all regained some dignity here. Isn't that right Ricky?
