Americans: Guinea Pigs for New Weapons
An Air Force General wants to test new weapons on protesting Americans. Yes, you read that correctly. This nutcase thinks the new generation of (supposedly) non lethal crowd control weapons should be used experimentally on fellow citizens. Th enext Bush or Cheney appearnace you decide is a good opportunity to exercise your free speech rights could cost you dearly, especially if the weapons don't work as designed.
Now we know how reliable those defense contractors are so I'm sure there's no need for worry. After all look how well the tilt rotor helicopter program has gone. I remember watching them test fly these machines twenty years ago and they still cannot make one that flies reliably.
How crazy have our leaders become? How lackadaisical have they gotten about our rights? Oh yes, I forgot, they took those away when they shredded the Bill of Rights.
I'm sick and tired of leaders who want to abuse me and keep me in fear. Osama won. If this is today's America the terrorists have won. They wanted to create an atmosphere where we live in perpetual fear and are afraid of everything. Bush played into their hands by seeing the opportunity to gain political success doing so and wound up partnering with Al Qaeda in making it so. It wasn't an intentional partnership but the net effect is the same. Bush stupidly played right into Osama's plan.
A great President once said: "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself." How true.
Now we have a President who uses fear as a political weapon. He does everything he can to instill fear and fan its flames at every opportunity. He does this to amass power. He does it to project his power. I think the only thing I fear is George W. Bush. I refuse to allow him to make me live my life in fear however. The ultimate power is always with the people.
