Bush Vows to Privatize SS Next Year

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal today President Bush vowed to destroy Social Security next year by enacting his privatization plan. Of course this will require GOP majorities in both the House and Senate. The deluded President seems to be very confident Republicans will maintain their majorities.

Voting for ANY Republican this year will be a vote to end Social Security. The GOP has wanted to wreck this program for several generations and it is high on the agendas of both Bush and Santorum. Republican congressmen elected this year will vote for the leadership and committee chairs. Even voting for someone who says they don't support this evisceration of our most valuable social safety net for seniors means it may happen if they have the scarlet "R" in front of teir districts.
