Poll Puts Carney Ahead By 7 Points

Clarks Summit, PA-A new independent poll by RT Strategies/Constituent Dynamics puts Chris Carney up 7 points over Congressman Don Sherwood in the 10th Congressional District race:

RT Strategies/Constituent Dynamics, Aug. 27-29, 2006
Chris Carney: 50%
Don Sherwood: 43%
Sample Size = 1008 — MOE 3.1%
Partisan ID: 54% Republican, 32% Democrat

“This independent poll reflects what we hear from Republican, Democratic, and Independent voters every day,” said Carney campaign manager Andrew Eldredge-Martin. “The more voters learn about Don Sherwood’s record, the more they recognize that he has not represented our values in Washington. Chris Carney will make us proud.”

Chris Carney is a veteran of multiple foreign military operations, a Lt. Commander in the Navy Reserve, and an Associate Professor at Penn State, focusing on U.S. security policy and international relations. Carney and his wife, Jennifer, have five children and reside in Dimock, Pa.
