United for Progress: Labor Radio
United for Progress' radio program airs each Saturday morning and focuses on labor issues and other matters facing working families. Hosted by Rick Smith and Don LeVasseur from 2-5 pm on WHYL AM 960 or their website, the show is celebrating its first anniversary. Rick is also seeking funding to keep the show on the air. If you are in a union please contact your local and state leaders about this good cause. From their press release:
An alternate voice for Central Pennsylvanians finally arrived on the
scene one year ago. Pennsylvania finally got to hear those on the
left and it has made quite a difference. In a time period of
unprecedented attacks on those in the Democratic Party we realize how
important freedom of expression really is.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,
or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of
speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceable to
assemble; and to petition the Government for a redress of
grievances." First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution
