Santorum Cooks it Up With Bigot

Senator Rick Santorum revealed his bigoted side last evening when he stopped by Geno's Steaks in Philadelphia and cooked up some cheese steaks. Joe Vento, who owns the fine dining establishment was quoted in the Inquirer last week saying Mexicans should be banned from this country because of all the strange diseases they bring with them. This is as bigoted a statement as I've ever heard. Especially so when one recalls how many native Mexicans were killed by Spanish conquistadores when they brought the dreaded, and to then unknown in this hemisphere, smallpox disease with them.

Twisting this tragedy of history around on Mexicans identifies Mr. Vento as a bigot. For our U.S. Senator to show solidarity with his statements is shameful. Anyone who is surprised that Tricky Ricky is standing tall with such a man should raise their hand.
