Bush Lies About Iraq and 9/11 Again

George W. Bush lied, again, about Iraq and September 11th. In an interview with Brian Williams of NBC he said this:

WILLIAMS: When you take a tour of the world, a lot of Americans e-mail me with their fears that, some days they just wake up and it just feels like the end of the world is near. And you go from North Korea to Iran, to Iraq, to Afghanistan, and you look at how things have changed, how Americans are viewed overseas, if that is important to you. Do you have any moments of doubt that we fought a wrong war? Or that there’s something wrong with the perception of America overseas?

BUSH: Well those are two different questions, did we fight the wrong war, and absolutely — I have no doubt — the war came to our shores, remember that. We had a foreign policy that basically said, let’s hope calm works. And we were attacked.

Williams asked him about Iraq and he answered that Iraq attacked us. Saddam NEVER attacked us. Heck, we had him so controlled he couldn't even control all of his own country. We had more control over northern Iraq (the Kurdish area) then he did. Iran controlled the area where Zarqwari was hiding.

These eight words: " the war came to our shores, remember that" are a complete and utter lie. It's Bush once again lying to the American people by saying Saddam was responsible for 9/11. He's made these statements regularly then pretends to be shocked that so many Americans think it's true. Then he denies that he's said them.

He's lied to the American people for why he went to war and he's lied to the American people about Iraq and 9/11. Every time he calls Iraq "the central front of the war on terror he's doing it again. Afghanistan, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were the central front of the war on terror not Iraq. Until George W. Bush made it so by ignoring the rest.
