Bush Still Defending Unconstitutional NSA Spying

George W. Bush just doesn't understand. He doesn't understand this:

"It was never the intent of the framers to give the president such unfettered control, particularly where his actions blatantly disregard the parameters clearly enumerated in the Bill of Rights," Judge Taylor wrote.

"There are no hereditary kings in America and no powers not created by the constitution. So all 'inherent powers' must derive from that constitution."

He clearly doesn't understand the constitution or the concept of separation of powers. He doesn't like oversight and accountability. He refuses to obey the oath he swore to uphold that constitution. He says those who disagree with him "don't understand the world in which we live."

I understand it completely Mr. President. I understand Osama bin Forgotten remains a free man, remains plotting against Americans and American interests. I also understand how you failed to capture him and how you diverted our military and intelligence resources to Iraq from Afghanistan to go for the oil.

I understand how you're attempting to create an all powerful Presidency immune from accountability. How you refuse to enforce laws (the job of the executive branch by the way) you do not like. How you believe you're above the law, how you issue signing statements saying what laws you'll uphold and which you won't. Where is that in the constitution?

What I understandmost of all is that we are a nation of laws. That no one is above the law. That the rule of law is paramount and the fundamental basis for our civilization. Undermine this at your own peril Mr. President. These are grounds for impeachment.

That's what I understand.
