Second Senatorial Debate Scheduled

Both Rick Santorum and Bob Casey have accepted invitations for a debate in Philadelphia according to Penn Live News Flash. October 16 is the date and the event will be televised by WPVI in Philadelphia and sponsored by the League of Women Voters.

Update: There are now four debates scheduled:

• Sept. 3 on NBC's "Meet the Press" in Washington.

• Oct. 12 in Pittsburgh, sponsored by KDKA-TV and the Post-Gazette.

• Oct. 16 on KYW-AM in Philadelphia.

• Oct. 16 in Philadelphia, sponsored by WPVI-TV and the League of Women Voters.

What is Casey's staff thinking? This race is getting closer and he can't afford to falter in these forums. The fact is the man isn't a good debater. I see this as playing to Santorum's strong suit.
