The Path to 9/11

All the major blogs have been all over this ABC movie about 9/11 so I haven't mentioned it. We need to get the word to everyone though so I'll add my two cents. The ABC movie is a fictionalized account of 9/11 which was made entirely by Republicans. Now I don't have problems with that sort of stuff as long as it's fully disclosed and the viewers understand what the agenda is. I'd no more take issue with the movie than with anything Michael Moore does. However ABC isn't promoting this as a movie but as a documentary; an account of the terrorist attacks and they get much of it wrong and fictionalize vital parts of the movie. The bottom line here is that ABC isn't being truthful about who made this movie and why.

I think if they insist on airing it they should show "Fahrenheit 911" immediately before or after.

Howard Kurtz has a review here. Also, ABC only sent copies of the movie to right wingers for review. Obviously they knew what they were doing, did it intentionally, and didn't want others to know about it. According to this film only Clinton was responsible for 9/11. They neglect to mention all of Bush's failures, including his refusal to respond for twenty minutes after being told the country was under attack.
