U.S. Senate Rejects Pay Increase

Our U.S. Senators again denied a raise to millions of working Americans. They voted 52- 46 (60 votes were needed) to refuse to increase this nation's minimum wage. The Republican Congresses have now refused to provide honest wages to hard working families and individuals for a ninth consecutive year. Unfortunately they also do nothing to control rampant increases in health care and medical costs, energy, and housing. This was also an opportunity to better control the immigration problem.

This is a moral issue. The GOP has, once again, proven itself to be the Party only for the extremely wealthy and businesses. If you are a working person Republicans do not care about you. Remember this when you vote in November.
